The dimensions of happiness, wellbeing and quality of life have experienced an upswing. The political interest in these topics, which are increasingly coming into focus, is particularly evident in initiatives. One such example is the local initiative "Smart City Vienna Framework Strategy 2019-2050: Vienna’s Strategy for Sustainable Development" (SCWR, 2019) with the goal to promote an equitable and sustainable quality of life in Vienna. The research team around Evi Agostini, Denis Francesconi and Nazime Öztürk investigate the question which is central to the research project: What is the impact of this significant trend on education, and what role can education play in it?
