Locations

Phenomenological vignette and anecdote research was developed within the framework of two FWF-funded research projects at the University of Innsbruck. Starting from Innsbruck, this qualitative research approach was transferred to other institutions and further developed there. Meanwhile, vignettes and anecdotes are applied in many places, be it as survey instruments for the research of (learning) experiences, for the development and evaluation of (in-)formal educational contexts, as instruments for the reflection of one's own teaching practice, or in pedagogical education in order to develop an experience-oriented and "learning-oriented" view among students.

Currently, the VignA network (as of 2022) has members at 14 locations in seven countries. More detailed information about the researchers at the different locations and the focus of their research can be found on the right.
